2021 Sauvignon Blanc Morgan Lee Vineyard

Morgean Lee is a gnarly vineyard that rewards the bold with a classic California (absolutely not New Zealand) wine.  There’s some subtle grapefruit for sure, but there are also just as much tropical fruit notes in the glass.  This wine is smooth and rich and fills the palate with the weight of 2% Chardonnay creating a clean and silky finish.

2021 Rosé

Our wine maker Patrick Saboe tells us he uses the traditional Tavelian method of pressing whole clusters to make our Rosé.  We have no idea what this is, and we can’t find anything about it on the internet.  What we can tell you is this outstanding wine is a unique blend of Mourvèdre and Tempranillo.  The result is a dry, crisp European-style wine with layers of strawberries that should please a whole lota folks.

Rim to Rim

This is our first non-vintage wine, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.  We started with half of our 2018 Lake County Cabernet and half 2019 Napa Valley Broken Rock Vineyard Merlot.  From there we adjusted the blend and added a small amount of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.  The result…one plus one equals three or the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.  We know you get it so give this a try.

2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lake County

This isn’t Lake County, Illinois, or Lake County, Indiana this is Lake County California, and it makes great wines.  The vineyard is located just to the north of the Napa County line and just to the east of the northeast edge of Sonoma County.  The farmer is a Napa icon, but we can’t legally mention his name.  The result is a wine mixing Napa’s bold black fruit integrated with Sonoma’s softer red fruit.  The best of both counties at a much more affordable price.

2019 Zinfandel

Jigsaw vineyard is terraced into the slopes of Bradford Mountain in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Sonoma County; ground zero for world-class Zinfandel.  Our block features the “Primitivo” clone that some say is an entirely different varietal while others think they are siblings derived from the Croatian Tribidrag varietal.  We know too much information.  This is consistently one of our best-selling wines offering lively acidity and notes of dark cherry.

2018 Bright Angel Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

What the heck is the Petaluma Gap and why does it make perfect Pinot Noir?  Rodgers Creek sits high on a ridge in “The Gap” in the heart of one of the coolest and foggiest growing regions in Sonoma perfect for exceptional Pinot Noir. Like our sister Chardonnay, this is aged in once used barrels resulting in an exceptional wine that is concentrated and balanced with earthy tones overlaying layers of red fruit flavors.

2020 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

Our biggest fight to blend…too much oak too much butter vs. too fruit forward too acidic.  We want balance and we want it now.  New barrels to oaky, neutral barrels to much fruit and acid.  Our balance has become once used barrels.  The result is a wine with soft fruit upon entry, a smooth mid palate, and a light vanilla oak finish.  Perfect.
